Long recognized as one of America’s foremost guitarists, Kalb’s Moving in Blue is the follow up to his 2009 critically acclaimed Sojourn Records’ solo debut, I’m Gonna Live The Life I Sing About. The new record is a two CD collection of 25 tracks, including recent sessions with former Blues Project bandmate, Roy Blumenfeld, as well as additional material recorded over the years by Sojourn co-founder, Mark Ambrosino at his Madhouse Studio.

New tracks on Moving in Blue include Johnny Cash’s “So Doggone Lonesome”, John Lee Hooker’s“I’m Leaving”and Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” as well as many others.

Kalb recorded Moving in Blue over a period of years at the Madhouse Studio with sessions focusing on solo recordings as well as recordings with Danny’s trio. In either setting, these songs show both the depth and connection that Danny exudes playing the music he loves, his voice and famous guitar work taking perhaps familiar songs into a new terrain.

I’m Gonna Live The Life I Sing About is the album that legendary guitarist Danny Kalb says "Is the record I always wanted to make" and marks his debut on Sojourn Records. I’m Gonna Live The Life I Sing About was produced by Mark Ambrosino and recorded at The Madhouse studio in Queens, NY featuring Kalb performing in both electric and acoustic trio settings.
Danny founded the Blues Project in 1965. One of the classic bands of the period, their "The Blues Project Live at Cafe Au Go-Go" won great critical acclaim and won them their first gold record. He has long been recognized as one of America's foremost guitarists.
