Live From The Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival 2011 was recorded at the festival's launch (1st year) over July 28-30, 2011 at the World Financial Center Plaza. The Festival is presented by Brookfield Office Properties and was co-produced with The Usual Suspects, LLC. The release will be available in time for the current festival, also at the World Financial Center Plaza, July 11-12, 2012. It will then be issued as a commercial release in both physical and digital formats.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to support the Music Educators Association of NYC (MEANYC)
Appearing on the release is James Blood Ulmer and the Memphis Blood Blues featuring Vernon Reid, Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra and Henry Butler, Amy LaVere, Hazmat Modine, Ryan Shaw, Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Review, The Beauties, Citigrass and Sojourn recording artist Danny Kalb Quartet.
The event was recorded and engineered by Sojourn Records President Mark Ambrosino, who will also be recording this years free event featuring Buddy Guy, Neko Case, John Mayall, Charles Bradley and the Extraordinaires, Quinn Sullivan, and He's My Brother, She's My Sister.
